Rich Clarkson’s professional career has span over 50 years and has included the positions of director of photography and senior assistant editor of The National Geographic Society, contract photographer for Sports Illustrated, NCAA, Time and Life, and has covered eight world Olympics. Clarkson was named by American Photo magazine as one of the 50 most influential individuals in American photography. He is recipient of an Honorary Master of Science Degree in Professional Photography from the Brooks Institute of Photography. Clarkson serves as a consultant to media, advertising and photographic trade organizations. For the past two decades, Clarkson has offered guidance and inspiration in his representation of photographers, in book packaging projects and in his series of unique workshops.

Leading imaging specialist, Epson, today announces its sponsorship of the Redman-Holmes staged Smart-Arts exhibition being held at La Galleria, Pall Mall, London from 10th December 2009.
Artist David Holmes designed one of the postage stamps for the 2012 Olympic Games issued by the Royal Mail recently. This inspired him and photographer Paul Redman to invite other artists who have also been commissioned to design postage stamps to join them to exhibit and sell their work at a collaborative exhibition.

Update - March 5th: The left eye surgery is done and with remarkable results. I am having cataract surgery on March 4th (left eye) and March 25th (right eye). I'm lucky that my insurance covers 80% of the cost. I have to pay 20%. As I get closer, there are numerous tests and appointments that will take me off line from time to time, Also, I don't know how much news I'll be able to post while recuperating. but I'll post as much as I'm able to.
