New Ad Models for Photographers – Dean (Photopreneur)
“While sharing images on the Internet is as simple as creating a website or uploading to a Flickr stream, earning revenue from the people who look at your pictures has always proved difficult. Writers can embed AdSense ad units into their articles or keyword terms with Kontera but photographers have had to hope for the [...]
It’s”“Guest Blog Wednesday” featuring Matt Bailey! – Scott Kelby
“I’m a still photographer. I have spent roughly 25 years studying lighting techniques, obsessing over the best equipment, perfecting my darkroom prowess, and then starting over with Photoshop. Video is a very different animal; one that intimidates and frightens me. Recognizing what I’m good at and leaving the rest alone has gotten me this far; [...]

Is your DSLR Up to Date? – Jeff Revell
“A couple of days ago I noticed that Canon released some new firmware updates for several of their cameras, the 50D, XSi/450D, and XS/1000D. Camera firmware acts as the operating system for your camera and controls many of the functions necessary for the camera to operate properly. Sadly though, most folks never check [...]
Good Photography Comes from Within – Rasmus Rasmussen
“There are a lot of photographers who seem obsessed with gear and creating “correct” images. I keep seeing posts on blogs, in forums and social media, talking about the importance of creating what I would call text-book photographs. “Caution: Don’t read this if you’re already happy with the results you get with your DSLR or if you never use lenses with an aperture faster than f/4. Strobies XS: Beautiful; Math Challenged? – David Hobby (Strobist)
“Interfit has released some pretty cool-looking speedlight accessories and bracket system under a line called “Strobies.”

Update - March 5th: The left eye surgery is done and with remarkable results. I am having cataract surgery on March 4th (left eye) and March 25th (right eye). As I get closer, there are numerous tests and appointments that will take me off line from time to time, Also, I don't know how much news I'll be able to post while recuperating. but I'll post as much as I'm able to.
