Composition Refresher – Theresa A. Husarik (PhotoInf)
“Composition, like proper technique can make or break an image. Everyone is guilty of a few images that don’t make the cut, but if we stop and think about what we are doing while we are planning the picture, we can turn a lot of those throw-aways into keepers. “ — Theresa A. Husarik

//REVIEW// Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 – Photoclub Alphar
“Tamron’s new ultra wide angle zoom for APS-C/DX is getting a bit of a blasting from reviewers. Now, when I see this happen, I get curious. Lens testing is often badly designed for such zooms, involving test chart targets at distances which are extremely close and result in very bad figures caused mainly by a [...]

//REVIEW// Olympus E-30 – PJ Jacobowitz (PCMag)
“The Olympus E-30 ($1,299.99 list, body only) has enough nifty features to turn heads—most notably, offering the capability to add Photoshop-like effects and merge four images into one on the fly. But is that enough? While its images are sharp when light is strong, shots in dimmer environments and at higher ISOs are not as [...]
More snowflake photography – No two alike? – Paul Burwell (WildShots)
“More snowflake photography – No two alike? – One of the common bits of knowledge is that there are supposedly no two snowflakes that are alike. I'm lucky that my insurance covers 80% of the cost. I have to pay 20%. As I get closer, there are numerous tests and appointments that will take me off line from time to time, Also, I don't know how much news I'll be able to post while recuperating. but I'll post as much as I'm able to.
