“Today dpreview posted their review of the Canon Powershot G10. “At base ISO and in high contrast conditions, this is the highest resolving compact we have ever tested.” But is this still enough to remain one of the best compact cameras on the market, or has the competition (read Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3) beaten Canon? Find [...]

100 in 100: Lensfest ‘08: Superwide zooms and fisheye lenses
“Day 62: With the advent of smaller sensors in APS-D Digital SLRs effectively cropping away part of an image and reducing the angle of view, photographers have been waiting for salvation in the form of wider-angle zooms to make up the difference. It came this year, with several interesting new indie-manufactured superwide zooms and really [...]
100 in 100: Lensfest ‘08: Midrange zooms get features, respect
“Consider the humble mid-range zoom, which starts at a wide-angle setting and goes into moderate telephoto range. But there are more and more midrange kits that add something to [...]

Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM Lens Review
“It is hard not to be drawn to a fast prime – the short, fat, solid-feeling lens with very low-light capability is very attractive. So, I don’t find it surprising that the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM Lens has received a lot of attention in the early days of its availability. “ — The-Digital-Picture
