“Photos are important, but what about all the work associated with them? If you’ve spent time keywording, sorting, rating, adding captions, and making non-destructive image edits (XML), then you should be backing up that information too. Well, “confusion”—that’s editorializing on my part. Michael R. calls it [...]
Nikon D40: 2008 Review
“The humble, ‘out-dated’ Nikon D40 is currently one of the best selling cameras that (not much) money can buy. With a resolution of just six megapixels and a small LCD screen by today’s standards, it’s hardly competitive with the current 10 megapixel and beyond cameras of here and now. Although the need for more megapixels [...]
Budget Canon vs Nikon shoot-out

It’s the most contended sector, with cameras from Sony, Olympus, Pentax, Samsung and Sigma all providing competitive products. But, standing head and shoulders above all the others are Canon and Nikon, with the lion’s share of this all-important sector. “ — Alan [...]

Samsung cameras at Photokina 2008
“The ’sleeping giant’ is Samsung’s name in the photo industry. And sleeping doesn’t seem too far off we discovered, after visiting the Samsung booth at Photokina 2008.
